    FORD MOTOR COMPANY APPOINTS PETER FLEET TO PRESIDENT, ASEAN

    BANGKOK, Thailand – Ford Motor Company today announced that Peter Fleet has been named president, Ford ASEAN, effective April 1, 2010. He will be based at Ford's ASEAN headquarters in Bangkok, and report directly to Joe Hinrichs, group vice president and president, Asia Pacific and Africa. Fleet will replace Dave Alden, who will retire on May 1 after 32 years with Ford.

    Ford maintains world championship lead after Mexican double

    BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team retained the lead of the FIA World Rally Championship after a double points haul in Rally Mexico today. Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen finished fourth on the demanding dirt roads in a Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, with team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila 27.6 seconds behind in fifth. The results mean Ford leads the manufacturers' standings by six points after two rounds of the 13-rally series.

FIA World Rally Championship leaders Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen traded their 300 horsepower Ford Focus RS World Rally Car for a more sedate pace as they led the 25-strong team through the 1.5km street stage with the support of team mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila.
