Irvine Hockaday

Irvine O. Hockaday, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Hallmark Cards, Inc. was elected to the Ford Board on May 14, 1987.
Mr. Hockaday joined Hallmark, the world's largest publisher of greeting cards, in 1983 as executive vice president. He was elected president and chief executive officer Jan. 1, 1986, and has been a member of the Hallmark board of directors since 1978. Prior to joining Hallmark, Mr. Hockaday served as president and chief executive officer of Kansas City Southern Industries Inc., and serves on the board and executive committee.
Mr. Hockaday received a bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University in 1958 and a law degree from the University of Michigan in 1961. Prior to joining Kansas City Southern Industries in 1968, Mr. Hockaday practiced law in Kansas City. Mr. Hockaday serves as a member of the Audit Committee.
